Students worked in groups of four to complete the “Cain and Abel” lesson in class today. No assignment for Tuesday.

Vocabulary: Unit 1 – Spelling and Vocabulary Tests taken in class today. No assignment for Tuesday.
Mr. Garcia and class corrected Lesson 1-1 workbook pages 7-8 in class today.
Then, we began Lesson 1-2 “Understanding Whole-Number Place Value” on page 9. Students were to create a chart based upon “Julia’s Video” chart on page 9. Students were to subtract week 1 “hits” from week 2 “hits” to find the increase in video “hits” in one week. Draw your graph at the bottom of page 9.
Students worked together to practice multiplying decimals by decimals in class today. All work was done in class.

“About Me” – Take Home Folder information due Monday. Please take your time and use some color to complete this page for your Take Home Folder.

Mr. Garcia introduced the “Chapter Doodle Summary” assignment in class today. Students worked during class to summarize the first 8 chapters of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” in doodles. We will continue next week.
